1999 2500 Ctd

THIS IS THE SAME TRUCK FROM YESTERDAY THAT i PURCHASED FOR 850.00
THIS TRUCK WAS VERY HARD TO START AND SOMETIMES IT WONT EVEN START SO i CHECKED THE FUEL PRESSURE AND IT ONLY SHOWED 9PSI THE SECOND TEST SHOWED ZERO IS THIS THE LP???????

Your going to need some amount of fuel pressure. 0 means there is no fuel being delivered to the IP, and it aint gonna run like that.

The thing is, the VP-44 injection pump can pull enough fuel with out the lift pump to run the engine. The problem is, it can't do it for very long before it also takes a dump. If the IP is doing all the work and the engine is running, you'll still get a 0 psi reading. Sounds to me that maybe the IP is also bad. Then again it might be just the LP. Check for codes........
