1998 dodge 2500 cummins; power steerin and brake problems
 

my trucks power steering and brakes went out at the same ttime... i had just pulled into the parking lot and went to back into a parking spot.. i checked all fluids..they were all fine... the elbow on the vaccum line that connects to the top of the power seering pump was blown out.. so i replaced it and it still didnt make a difference.. im in a bind... trying to figure this out myself before taking it to the shop and spending money i dont have.... please let me know if there is aything im overlooking or if i have to break into the hydrolics and spend a bunch of cash...i appriciate it.....

you need to check your power steering fluid it runs the hydro boost. the hydro could have gone out

Booger, either PS pump is dry or not turning/pumping. There is a drive coupler in between PS/Vacuum pumps that sometimes shears.
