'03 Fuel Leak

I had new injectors installed in the truck about a week ago and have been noticing a strong diesel smell at idle but couldn't find a leak. I looked under the truck and found a puddle of fuel yesterday after driving 200 miles. The line that goes into the rearmost injector is leaking and I checked the line and it seems tight but still leaks. What do I need to do to get the leak fixed? I'm 200 miles away from home and from the shop that did the install. Will it be OK to drive back with it like this? I would like to fix it but If I can't I'll have to drive it tomorrow to get fixed. Thanks

-Steve

The common rail injectors rely on seals on the injector body, where it penetrates the head. The injector will need to be pulled and the seals checked. Old seals should never be reused, so you will need a new injector seal kit anyway.

It should be fine to drive enough to get it back home. Your fuel economy will be real low, so keep an eye on fuel level going that distance.

The connector tube ended up being the culprit - it wasn't quite tight enough. Then taking the injector line off it got a slight crack in the bend. I got lucky and Cummins had one in stock. All is fixed now. Thanks
