Where to find more info on big MERCEDES diesel power??? How2? Video included...

Don M are you around! I saw you were on the mercedes shop forum and wanted to ask you for help I have been trying to find more resources on adding some serious power to an 86' 300sd. Do you sell injectors for these cars?

Does anyone know where to look for more info on injectors, turbos, fuel upgrades???
There doesn't seem to be much discussion on the above mentioned site of exactly how to do the work to these motors. Also can you point me in the right direction to find out more of how to add power? (air+fuel=power) I know they are IDI but they are tough and I have seen many videos on YouTube that show some huge power coming from them in Europe.
Problem is everything is in German...[duhhh]

Thanks for any help with this... I would really like to look into this...

i believe it's the swede's or norwegians that get the monster power out of em .ialso believe they use the holset turbos.

Try looking around in some of the MB forums. benzworld.org and mbworld.org are the two that I frequent. Ed B

Anaroid Screw

Not sure if that is spelled right, but on the drivers side top of the pump there is a little nub that is actually a cap. It has a foil bottom holding it on, but if you pull the cap and mess with that screw it will help you out. You can also adjust the waste gate but need a vacuum gauge / pump to get it right.

Had an 86 that I messed with the screw on and you could power break it and light the tires up, wasn't too bad. Should have kept it, now they are expensive.

If you need some translations from German I'll try to help you- just PM me the links. I can evaluate if the text is about your vehicle and translate it.

The Finnish. It's a shop called MYNA diesel. They use the european M pump, rather than our MW and can support 300-400HP.

Shopforum has always been a little twitchy about performance mods. The owner is more of a purist.

Try these guys: http://www.schumanautomotive.com/for...splay.php?f=19
We're trying our best to match the finns with our MW pumps... it's a long haul though. There's a couple guys with myna pump, like kta cummins. There's also a few with intercooled W123s(forcedinduction and... brandon I think) and even a variable turbo w123.(forcedinduction) I'm aiming to be the second variable turbo W123.

Sweet this is what I was hoping for I figured any guys who can appreciate the Cummins would also appreciate the MB! I may need to get some more info from you on this. I am going to mess with the ALDA but after that I am at a loss and would really like to start making some real power these engines are capable of.
