With my 02, everytime I came back to work they thought I was a delivery truck. I was told by the CHP when he pulled me over that he heard me over the Peterbilt that was next to me. I had one girl @ work ask me how I got that BIG RIG motor in my truck!

 

My girlfriend took my truck to work while I was detailing her car. While I was buffing her car I heard a bad **** diesel sound and got really jealous, then I saw my truck coming up the street and thought, "well I just got jealous of my own truck." We both shared a laugh with that one.

 

I have been told:

I thought I heard a semi pulling in!

When I heard your truck, I looked for the John Deere tractor.

I heard your semi pulling in.

That is about all so far.

Last week I came around a corner in a shopping center and saw an old man stand up for the bus. He looked confused and sat back down when I drove by. Felt kinda bad for him, it looked like it took a lot of work for him to stand up.

Also been mistook for a dump truck, semi, garbage truck.

 

My truck is mistaken for the public transit buses in town here all of the time... gotten dump truck before too...

I can only imagine what people at drive-thru windows think is pulling up to take an order.

 

I just remembered a story.... My sister was out front of her place with my 2 year old neice Harley. All of the sudden Harley starts to run towards the curb yelling "Nino Jimmy, Nino Jimmy". Turns out it was trash day..............

 

Well, never been accused of being a bus, but have been accused of being a semi many times, especially when loaded and using 1st gear.

Old man who use to live across the street use to come out when I got home, cuz he thought it was his nephew, who does drive a big rig, stopping by.

After the 3rd of 4th time, he started looking out the window first.

 

friend: hey is colt pulling in?
other friend: no, a semi is going by it happens all the time.

Our drive way is about 5miles long and against a cliff wall and dad can hear me coming when i turn off the highway at the mail box he says I sound like a old kenworth log trucks he used to run.

Oh yea and there was one night that about 10 diesels were going to some street races to see if we could woop us on some little ricers and when we started pulling in alot of them started haulin but out of there until we started blowin smoke evrywhere. They all told us they thought were tow trucks coming to get there cars lol. Actually one of the trucks that was with us is a 02 dodge with the little thing on the bed. ANyways thats all i had.

 

Get big rig all the time, but once pulling into work I had a lady tell me it sounds like a jet taking off. Thought that was pretty funny. I just laughed and said "does it? I hadn't noticed."

 

I pulled into the local CDL driver training school one day , and the owner met me at the door wondering where the semi went that he just heard come in, I pointed at my truck , and asked if that's what he heard, he said no , and asked if i saw a semi pull around behind the building, he walked around , no semi behind the building

 

helped a friend pour a driveway and when I turned the corner to get to the job everyone was standing with tools in hand thinking I was the concrete truck.

 

Well, the '98 was mistaken several times for a Ferrari, and compared on one infamous occasion to a Singer experiencing Roid Rage...

The '05 has mostly been thought of as the baddest ride in town , but has been accused a few times of being a drag truck or sled-puller.

 

Some of the people I camp with mistaken for a dump truck and now evetime I go campin with them its "HERE COMES BIG RIG" . I really like hittin the first 3 gears pullin the camper sounds just like one.
