Might be a dumb qustion but please tell what product someone uses to take water spots off these aluminum wheels. They are a pain in the butt.

Elbow grease

Not sure about a spray on and wash off product that will not damage the finish.

Get you some good polish and set aside some time. When nice a pretty put a good coat of wax on them.

Well this may help. Try putting some armorall on your tires, then use the overspray after it settles and polish the wheel with it. I know it helps me get rid of stubborn water spots on my chromies, maybe it will help you too.

If your wheels were hot when you washed them, you might have a tough time getting rid of them. Next time you come home after a long drive (hot wheels), wash and dry them again. The pores in aluminum open up when hot. If you spray a hot wheel with cold, unsoftened water, it will stain the wheel.

When you polish a wheel with a buffer and rouge, you have to get the RPMs fast enough to generate the heat required to open up the pores and get rid of the oxidation.

CLR or Lime-Away will remove spots on wheels. Vinegar will work as well. Never Dull does a good job of spot removal and polishes.

That's not the only thing it will remove. I wouldn't use that stuff on aluminum. There are better products to use if you want to acid etch aluminum.

Funny, I've used it for a long time without any side effects. Just used it on our Honda's paint on the hood for hard water spot removal a few weeks back.
