Nice little grocery gitter.

At first I thought it was dumb, but its actually kinda cool. I especially like how short the shifter is. I still would never buy one though ha.

Enjoyed this part: it tow nearly three tons (5,600 pounds) when equipped with VW’s 2.0-liter common-rail turbo diesel four-cylinder that’s good for 163 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.

vw diesel

Another great little diesel we will never see here in the usa- big oil companies probably do not want a economical diesel truck to be sold here in the usa- again we loose

Have recently noticed the big VW truck (3 ton?) around here, but not this one.

Would make a great little fuel milage daily driver so I could leave the real truck for real truck duties.

Pics or it didn't happen, lol. Seriously though if you get a chance to snap some pics this is something we'd like to see.

Big oil has nothing to do with it. It's a bloated bureaucratic agency called the EPA that won't allow it.

Ditto on that and the far left that embraces everything about Europe except nuclear power and diesels.:( My friend was in Nicaragua recently and rented a crewcab Toyota Hilux(Tacoma) clean diesel there. This guy has never driven in one of the newer diesels. He loved it. Of course, not available here. Manual tranny but no freespin hubs. Can't have everything.

Needs a bit longer bed, but if GM/Dodge/Ford dump their small trucks it would sell here if they bring it.

RAMRODD 02-28-2010 09:31 PM

That would be a nice trade for my Jetta TDI

Thank the EPA. Things look a lot different from their little bubbles. Instead we have hybrids that are more harmful to the environment, and cost a small fortune. And I bet most of you, if you're like me, like to leave a Prius in a cloud of smoke as you pass it. :) I like the irony.

txarrowhunter 02-28-2010 10:32 PM

It looks stupid....but if you remove those ridiculous bars behind the cab and add a westernhauler headache rack, str8 pipe, and a good programmer it would look awesome! And I would drive it.
