The ultimate truck

Okay guys heres my thoughts on what would be like my dream truck,

It would be a ford body like king ranch/harley davidson edtion, It would have a 5.9 Cummins 24 valve h/o, Coupled to a Allison 6 speed out of the new chevy trucks. 4x4 of course, stacks and all that happy stuff. With a Good reliable rear end, maybe a ford 9 Inch? if i was millionare i would have that truck.. i guess its one persons dreams?

LOL, a 6BT would shred a 9" rear in record time.

Without regard for what it cost, I would say a F350/ 12 Valve/ Eaton 7 speed.

Throw in a Dana 80 front and 110 rear and call it bulletproof.

My Ultimate Truck would require a Time Machine, to transport my shiny show room floor fresh, still smells new 1993 W350LE back home with me. Still the best IMHO.

Other wise, Take the 06-08 Rams, put a Ford int, a 6.7 with no EPA crap that runs like heck and sounds spot on for a 12v. Rockwell rear end, and a 7spd.

Heck, Ill take two.

I'd take the Dodge Power Wagon concept truck with a custom SUV rear (6 door) and tandem rear axle conversion (ala T-Rex). Cummins ISB/C (naturaly) and Eaton automated / manual with paddle shifters. Lifted 12" or so with a one off Carli designed off road suspension w/HD air bags. HD front / rear bumpers with winches on both ends. Integrated / on-baord air compressor, welder, and generartor. I could go on, but that would make a nice base platform.

The aam 1150 rear axle is like a ford 9" but bigger. They have the third bearing to keep the pinion located under high torque. My dream truck would be a king ranch super duty dually, dt 466 with a suncoast stage 5 allison 6 speed or the bigger alli if it'd fit. Front axle should be a kingpin dana 60, fixed spindle w manual hubs. Nice!

My ultimate truck would be a 6.7 Cummins with an Aisin 6 speed transmission.
...Oh, wait a minute.... they already make this...and you don't have to be a millionaire

Not a chance to get a Ford body, interior is much inferior than Dodge. I rather have a Megacab Resistol edition stretched to long box.

I'll agree with the CXT. A guy in town took an old Schwan's truck (Chevy C6500, like an 01-02) and put a 1 ton Chevy bed on it. Body lines matched up almost perfect, and it sits just as high as a CXT. Looks awesome, put stacks on it. The tailgate, when dropped is right about even with my shoulders.

However I'd take a Dodge body on a Ford chassis, with a Cummins coupled up to an Allison.

Hahaha. I'm actually trying to build my ultimate truck with my '97 dually. its coming along slowly but surely

personally I like the MXT trucks better than the cxt.

and a 9" wouldn't be my 1st choice in a big truck. but i know of two 1500hp mustangs in the area with 9" rears in them that live at the track.

The 9" will take a lot of power. A CXT would be cool, maybe I can find a used one cheap.

I was actually just in a King Ranch at work today for the first time...I love the leather they use for the interior...as much as I dislike Ford's I wouldnt mind having one of those. The truck actually had a bottle of "Ford King Ranch leather conditioner" in the console. Anyone know of aftermarket seats like that that'd fit in a Dodge in case I win the lottery?

I run one at work just like it, it has 75k miles and will be back tuesday with a new motor (old one blew head gasket), after replacing 3 intake plenums, 2 turbos, 18 injectors, and the list goes on. Interior is very unfriendly. Steering wheel is cluttered of buttons for fan, temp, volume, cruise etc. I have to take attention off driving just to set the cruise. Seats are too puffy, we keep sliding side to side, front cupholders don't hold a thing. Truck is much noisier then my Megacab, wonders a lot.
Only positive issues I have is integrated brake controller and tranny temp gauge (but I doubt the accuracy)

I wish they sell the thing and get anything else
