Well that IS a lot better…saw the $70 somewhere on the website, but must have been for something else..lol..thanks for clarifying….I'll probably still just make something, but it's good to know that they are priced reasonably!!

If only Karma

Yeah, your thieves will get what they deserve. It'd be nice to walk out and catch them in the act sometime. Sorry this happened to you.

Thanks R Walter.

A couple days ago I got the lock repaired. Bought a new lock cylinder, had it rekeyed at a local locksmith and installed myself.

When I pulled the handle off I found the damage. The sheetmetal got rocked by the impact. You can see the cylinder cracked and was bent. When I pulled the tumblers, they were all undamaged, surprisingly.

I hammered the sheetmetal back into place, installed the new cylinder and put it all back together. Jimmyjamer and lockcap in place as well. Going to get the other three doors jimmyjammered up too, just being lazy. Good to have the new lock in place and the door less bulgy.

FYI Jimmi Jammers don't fit Quad Cab rear doors.
Sure wish they would have made that clear on their website BEFORE I purchased them.

What's the difference in the door lock/handle design?

Without going into detail to give secrets to burglars...it is in the way the rods run. The jimmi jammer just doesn't apply to the application. I took pictures but it doesn't show it well. I'll get in there again this morning. Trucksecurity.com wants to charge me a restocking fee and I pay for return shipping. But I don't agree with it because they advertise it does fit my truck (or that my truck model is not excluded from the application).

I'll triple check though and follow up.

Ok, had some time to get into the doors again. I was mistaken, the plates do fit the rear Quad Cab doors, I had to take it from a different angle.

Mission accomplished, the plates are installed on the rears
