We just put a set of the BFG mud terrains on last week. The tires are not very loud on the highway at 70, but not near stock. It seems like you hear them the most when you are coming to a stop. They are pretty aggressive, and the treads have been cut across the tire so they do better in the snow. I dont know much about the Interco's but they seem like a tire for the serious off-roader. But then again, these are pretty serious treads too.
When you do get them, put the black lettering on the outside, it looks sweet.

I would pick the BFG over the thornbirds. But if I had a choice I wouldn't choice either tire. I went with the goodyear mt/r's. Looking at you choice pf tire your not affraid of the money. That's why I would choise the goodyear. But of the 2 I would go with the BFG's, I have heard that the Thornbirds are not a really reliable tire. Good luck with what ever tire you go with

Both of those tires suck unless you intend to use them for offroad only. The best agressive all terain tire is the Toyo mud terrains very agressive very quiet and they will last for 40 k.

My roommate has had bfg's KM's on his truck since 2 days after he bought it. No problems, little road noise, great mud tire. Swampers are a pain to balance(if they will) and ride like crap and lots of road noise.

the thornbirds will never be balanced, they don't do that well offroad either
the bfgs are a nice all round tire sipe them if they will see any ice duty
however if you need an agressive tire their are other choices in the interco tire line to choose from the trxxus radial or the swamper radial would be better choices than the thornbird

Go with the BFG's I've ran them with no problems. Great mud and snow traction. I've ran the super swamp's and they are rough as heck. Those BFG's will balance out nice and run real smooth for you.
