It's pretty simple why they don't yet bring them here: 2010 diesel engine emissiosn regulations. Thanks so much C.A.R.B., Sierra Club & US EPA. First acronym is California Air Resources Board.

Diesels and Nukes are everywhere in Europe. Funny how the left embraces everything about Europe except these two extremely logical entities.

Gentlemen they have to apply to their own emission standards which are getting strict as well. Least we dont have to pay $5-6 a gallon ALL the time. Guessing thats why you dont see too many 3/4-1 ton trucks running around less they have something to haul over there.

And Obama of all people actually is spending money on loans for nuke plants.

First Subaru I ever worked on as a dealer mechanic was one of these.

Inboard drum brakes....... whatta PITA to replace.
And trying to find parts for a vehicle that wasn't even supposed to be imported into the states..............

The late 70s and early 80s Subarus were keeping me busy due to blowing headgaskets.

It's good to see they FINALLY got their stuff together to build a decent car.
My Wifey's cousin has owned a Forester and now an Outback, and hasn't had a lick of trouble out of either.

Have a question and i wanna apologize for the disturbance. Just read a news and it appears that subaru aimed at the European market, not USA. Why not?and according to the rumors diesel subaru might not pass the EPA. No idea if that is true...not sure about it...

European diesel fuel is better then what we have in North America.
Several Euro and Asian manufacturers have encountered this problem.
