I was thinking of putting on 5" stacks. But was informed that the truck would look better with 6" or bigger. What do you guys think which stack size would look better on my regular cab dually?

I say go bigger. I dont have stacks but im fixin to order a 6" tip because even after a few months the plain 5" exhaust just seems kinda small (God when I got it though it looked massive!)

Thanks for the picture....When I did the DTR search I found a load of information. Its really tough to decide.I was going to go with turnouts and now I'm think of mitre cuts...Then was thinking of the bull horn stacks.I hope I could find a company here that has all three styles here.Just to see what they look like before I buy...

I have this posted in 3rd gen high performance, but I'll post my clip here also. They are 6" mitres, I've had them for 1 1/2 yrs now, and i have no complaints with them. I looked at 7" recently, but for now I believe the 6s look great on any Cummins, its a good round-about size. Sounds great too, they would sound awesome on a 12 or 24 valve for sure!

It is, of course, personal opinion more than anything else!
I think chromed stacks look less than attractive if over 5". The proportions are just way off. JMO

I've seen 7" coated in Flat Black, on a red truck, and they looked pretty cool.

Your truck....your choice! But you did ask.

Just put these on. there 7in x 48in painted black. there are some pics in my profile of the 5in I had. I think the 7's fit the truck better than the 5's I had before.

I bought the 5" pipe to make mine and when I got the pipe I told the guy, "thats some big darn pipe". That was a ten foot section and it still looked huge. It's bigger when you see it, pics don't do it justice cause I have looked at stack pics since I've been on DTR.

I'd say find ya a truck place and get up close to some 5". 7" are gonna be huge!!!

Wink

My truck is a shortbed, and Im going with a 5" single flattop when the time comes. The big stacks remind me of those fart cans on ricers. Non productive and way out of proportion.

I would go with 5" Aussies myself, I think anything 7" and over is too big, just doesnt look right in my opinion...6" miters would look good though... Get BAD4x4, wanna sell your 5" aussies ??
