I just got hung up on the axles because the ruts were to deep. I was in over my waist where the front driver tire was. That is actually the second time i was stuck in that puddle. 3 weeks before that i went threw it in 2 wheel drive cause i didnt have my front drive shaft back in yet. Then i got drunker and thought why not do it again but stop in it this time. Well i got stuck but my buddy pulled me out wit a 1500 that time and not a backhoe. but i tore that puddle up bad. I definately wont be in there a third time ill garuntee that.
I got stuck pretty bad with my FORD one time:

Truck sat from 11PM to 10AM... We hooked a 1500 chevy gas truck with mud tires up to it right behind the ford, then hooked a 2500 duramax up to the 1500 on solid ground, and then hooked ANOTHER 1500 chevy behind the dmax on solid ground. All of them together couldn't even BUDGE the Ford.
Finally we had the F350 come out with a chain.. Nearly turned his short bed into a LONG BED pulling

Yea theres nothing like being stuck and no one has a vehicle to pull you out with. I got stuck last winter after an ice storm, I slid off a road up the mountain and ended up in some swampy stuff. My freind has a jeep wit 11 inches of lift 38, all custome drive line and a 12000 pound winch. well we chained his jeep to a tree and hook up to my truck pulled first tree down. Then we tried a biger tree and broke the gears in the winch. Then we went down and took an air port rescue truck from his familys firetruck corporation. It had 52 inch rubbers fully locked axles 600 hp detroit with a 16k lb hydraulic winch. Darn thing cost 700k and was bein built for o hare airport and we put the first 25 miles on it 4 wheeling. Pulled me right out.
sissy stuck...
This is sissy compared to you guys, but stuck none-the-less. I had a Chibby Suburban 3/4ton 4X4 Scottsdale model (meaning stripped). Nice truck, not much torque.
Anywho, I was using it to pull my 16' enclosed utility trailer with my roadrace bike. I went to Gateway International Raceway, and got there about 2 am. Nobody there to tell me which gate was the right gate ... and I wanted in. I go to the 1st gate, and only one guy there in a pick-up. I figure he's a gaurd (sleeping) just needing to make sure nobody tries to enter that gate. So I figured I'd turn around and find the 'right' gate to go on in.
The road was about 3 lanes wide at the gate. Turning around I run off the other side of the road (but I'm just creeping). It has a big shoulder. It looks OK I figure I'll run about 1 car width off the road onto the shoulder (doing a u-turn slowly), get back on the road and go to the other gate. Unbeknownst to me, it had rained cats and dogs for about 6 hours a short while before I got there. AND! The shoulder I was using had just been graded and grass sewn. I couldn't tell that at night.
About the time I get it to where the front end is about parallel to the road, the RF starts sinking. I think, hmmm feels kind of soft, but it'll turn. 5 feet further and no turning and the RF is starting to go off down a very slight hill. I decide to not chance it and get out and lock the hubs.
I get back in and put'er in 4WD, and then am sure with the front end pulling it will start to turn left. 5 or 6 feet later, and I'm in BIG TROUBLE. That slight hill got real steep in a hurry, and being a recently graded area after a lot of rain was soft. My truck gently slid right because the enclosed trailer was pushing me down the hill. I wound up not quite as bad as the Ford truck on the 1st page.
My RF tire was completely buried in the mud. I didn't even try to back up, because with the trailer, there's no way it would've come out, and might have slid further. Called a wrecker and I had to convinced him to put a hook under the trailer toungue and swing the tounge out on the road (he did). With his truck on the road, he hooked his winch cable up and pulled my truck. With his winch cable and me idling in 4-Lo turning left, it walked right out. Cost me nothing (cell phone had free roadside assistance, hehehe). But wasted about 1.5 hours of sleep.
The stink of it all was, I had been at the correct gate. I shore tore up their grading and left a ton of mud on their driveway ... right at the gate.
Sorry for the long post.
