Hey guys, my buddy and I got bored last night so we decided to clean our ambulances and fix anything that was broken ie. lights and such. As we were checking the oil, and tranny fluid and air filters I noticed that a plug on the one rig was unplugged that went into the airbox. When I took the filters out, I looked at this sensor and it sorta looks like an IAT sensor thats in our cummins. I'm talking about this little thing thats all the way to the left of the air box. I'm not sure what it is. Is it an IAT for the Powerstroke and what does it do when its not plugged in? I plugged it back in and took it out for a drive and didnt notice any difference. Any ideas? Thanks

 

Ford usually puts the Mass Airflow Sensor right in the airbox on the powerstroke.
This is probably what was unplugged.
Surprised it didn't throw on the check engine light.
