Paint Protector

I am new to this site and to Dodge Diesels, so please bear with me If I ask something ignorant. I just purchased my truck the last week, while I was fueling the truck for the first time I noticed a guy next to me filling his truck as well, but he had some type of rubber flap he purchased that attached around the fuel neck and came out and kept the fuel burp, from getting on his paint. Now having a white truck I like this idea, but can't find it anywhere on the net. Do any of you know what it is called, or where I might be able to buy one?

You can get a free catalog from Geno's. That is how I remembered where I saw it at.

I don't understand the problem...

I just rattle the nozzle around inside of the filler neck for a few seconds and then pull it out real fast, and I only get a drop or two about half the time I fill up.

Then again, I've never had to shake at the urinal either, so maybe I'm just unique...

I'm not sure what to think of that right there. I can tell you the Mrs. wouldn't be happy with that, and depending on the Origin of your truck, you might be denying it also..... Very strange right there

Also let the guy customize his truck, he's buying something for his truck. That right there is love and affection for a fellow mate. Besides if this guy is married and dosn't spend the money, you know where it's goine (honistly if you read this hun, I love you to death)

I used to use an old wife beater, it fit just fine inside the fuel door while closed. I would wad it up underneath the nozzle while filling up.
Sure, it's not as cool as the Geno's flap, but it works.

I just need to pick out my nastiest one to use on the new truck.

I just wipe the burp off with a rag. Every CTD owner should have a rag handy.

i have had the rubber flap on my truck since day one. it does keep the diesel from dripping down the paint. it works as advertised. i buy my diesel from my local indian reservation-so it is full serve. its alittle piece of mind knowing i do not have to wipe diesel off of my paint every time i fill up because the guy filling my tank was careless, etc.

Thanks Beagle1, Not I'm gonna have to pour bleach into my minds eye in hopes of getting that mental picture erased.

My diesel stains don't count as customizing?
