Over 25,000 hours and still going

I was down at the dock today looking at my buddy's commercial fishing boat. Its a 430 Cummins. His dad's boat has a 210 5.9 12v Cummins that is about 12 years old. It has 25,000 hours on it but the hour gauge stopped working 2 seasons ago. He averages 2000 to 2200 hours a year. The thing has never had any overhaul on it.....the head has never been reworked. Crank is original. Now that is durability. It typically runs at 2100rpm. In my truck those hours would put me over a million miles. Something to look forward to. ks

Very nice. What do you expect it's a Cummins isn't it.
