Re:Off Road Fuel

They say that the only fuel that you should run is D1 and D2 or K1 or K2.

It won't hurt your truck at all but it may put a huge dent in your life style and your income and your social status and your, er ah, well, you get the idea.. Go ahead and make reservations at the Gray Bar Hotel and get the room ready.

Re:Off Road Fuel

Agree with the others off road diesel will work just like on road diesel...the difference is its dyed red so that law enforcement know that your illegally running untaxed fuel in your truck...even a small amount will dilute all the fuel with red color and flag it for the law to see<br><br>By accident my truck was topped off with off road fuel...it took 4 tank fulls to get rid of the red color....I was a nervous wreak until it was cleared from my tank since I have to cross weight scales<br><br> :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

Re:Off Road Fuel

you wont get stopped in a pickup usally they are more out looking for the company's &amp; semi's, that is unless you are doing heavy towing you may get noticed.<br>I would not worry about using it.<br><br>DRecu!

Re:Off Road Fuel

Down here we can run off-road diesel if we have farm tags. If we have farm tags we can run 40 miles from the farm. So when I move I can run Red D. ;D I if were you I would have a AUX tank and run Red D. in there and just switch tanks if you get pulled over. :P

Re:Off Road Fuel

One thing about off road diesel. When you run farm fuel it will expand seals, gaskets and such by 10-15% in the ingection pump. When you go back to road fuel they will shrink 10-15% from what they should be. So you might get a fuel leak from the injection pump. If you would run farm fuel all the time no problem, but if switching back and forth you might get a leak.<br><br>Paul
