New diesel magazines?

I know of Diesel Power and 8 lug.
Does anyone get Diesel Tech or Diesel Builder? Just found them on one of the fuel pump websites.

I just subscribed to diesel tech its only $10.00 for 6 issues. We'll see.

Wink Seen um, read um, love em, hate em

I have never seen 8-lug, I was a subscriber to Diesel Power but I let it laps, Diesel World is on the shelves I just saw it within the last two months. I just barely saw Diesel builder on the shelves yesterday looked through it. I love Diesel mags, but they all seem to be bowing to corporate pressure from GM and Ferd, All you can find it seems is D-max and power-jokes. A cummins is thrown in here and there but the featured trucks and projects are always GM or Ferd, seems like that to me IMO. I still read them like books untill they fall apart, must have #2 in my blood supply!

I hear what your saying. I dont need the big horse power or want to spend lots of money but I guess there wouldn't be much of an article about how to keep your truck stock.

I just stick to the forums now. Seems like all the magazines these days are biased and full of way too many advertisements. And they can't really give an honest opinion because they risk losing the advertising dollars. Or they center their articles around whatever company ponies up the most money.

diesel power and diesel tech are the best- diesel builder and especially 8 lug have glitzy over the top trucks- after two issues- i was sick and tired of seeing trucks with 12 inches of lift with 22 inch rims, chromed trac bars, and dvd players. diesel world is an ok read.

That's what I cant stand the most!!! No honest opinion?? Anything they write they always leave it open ended and there is no true conclusion to what they are writing about, i.e. fuel additives, oil, tires etc. They alway end with "use what's best for you" Gee thanks....If I knew that I wouldn't be looking to read the article or magazine for that matter....Rant off

The worst thing is they don't really cover much diesel stuff, it's usually "here's how to put a suspension lift on your truck" and stuff like that. Although lately they have gotten better, but still they devote more attention (diesel world is worse at this) to the tires/wheels/suspension, interior, and stereo system than they do to the engine and it's mods.

Diesel Power is the best I've seen, followed by Diesel World. Diesel builder is touch and go; a few good articles now and then, but I've seen some inaccurate stuff in there too. 8-lug is complete crap. I'll have to look around for Diesel Tech.

I gotta say though, DP really does like to let Banks run their magazine......
