My thoughts exactly. If your truck wont do what you want it to do, get one that will...

I drove mine up in the front yard a couple of weeks ago and jerked a stump out of the ground. I tried the bobcat first, but it wasn't budging. I also tried gently pulling it out in 4 Lo, but it wasn't having any of that. Then I stuck it in 4 Hi and let her rip. The stump popped out like nothing. Abuse... I doubt it. Fun... my kid thought it was a blast.

My 1st gen has almost 119k on it. It had 94k on it when I bought it. It served the first 12 years of it's life in service for an RV resort. It pulled 5th wheels all day long for it's whole life before I got it... mostly in town driving. It's pretty beat up and had several frame cracks etc. but it still runs like a champ.

I think I have been pretty abusive in the 3 years I have owned my truck. The first major thing I broke was my dana 60 out at the sand dunes. Bent it in 3 places and broke most of the plug welds but I was able to make it home 300 some odd miles away. Next went multiple headgaskets then my rear shocks got ripped out of their mounts. Then went the output shaft one day followed by another headgasket ( hill climbs). If that wasnt enough, my flex plated decided to die next. As far as abusing it as a working vehicle, all it does is pull stuck rigs out and tow an occasional car
