Tore down a MAN 301 4 cyl diesel generator and the question is if anyone knows if the connecting rods are supposed to be curved. One of the guys overfilled the genny by 4 gallons and ran it

Let's see some pix. Why did you tear it down?

Just overfilling the crankcase should not lead to bent rods.

No matter if they're straight or curved, I be they're supposed to be identical. Very unlikely they'd all get bent the same way.
