LSD axles and different size tires
So i run 35" tires but my spare is 31.5" Any dangers to the axle using two different size tires for temporary use?

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
In my opinion you are asking for trouble to run two different diameter tires on a LSD axle, even for a short run. If you do get a flat on the rear axle, you would be better off by installing that small tire on the front and putting the front tire on the rear to match diameters on the LSD axle. Yes, I know that is a lot of extra work just for a flat, but could be the cheapest in the long run.

I agree with Stan, Pat and Deere.
Best bet is having a 35 inch spare. You can ruin a LSD in short order with different sized tires on it.

Personally, the lsd is probly shot if it hasn't been well maintained on an '04, but I'd opt for a 35" spare to ease any concerns....
