That will be fun to watch. I think it was about 1990 I remember an article in 4wheel and off road called "operation tugboat" where they worked over a CTD extended cab. At the time I was driving a Ford with a 300 I6 and remember thinking "a diesel, what the?"

Now I know

According to Sam Memolo, the 6.7 Cummins uses a "VP-44 Injection Pump".

I just watched it. I like how they refered to the new injection pump as a VP44! Guess they were reading a teleprompter. One of them made a statement about the EGR. He said it stood for Inert gas recirc. If that was right wouldnt it be IGR???

Other than that, it was neat seeing the cutaways and stuff.

Probably hanging out with Bob Villa.

Both spent way too much time on their shows talking about "WE're" doing this or that, while the other guys were doing all the work.

The only thing interesting in that 1/2 hour was the brief statement about the 2007 that dodge borrowed to what must have been a hot shot driver. And with over 250,000 miles the engine was torn down and everything was within factory specs of a new engine. Wish they would have spent a little more time on that.
The one guy on the show even owns a 07 5.9 cummins you think he would have caught the VP-44

They introduced Sam as working for Cummins. He also had on a Cummins logo on his shirt.

I am by no means the expert many others here are, but I thought the pump was a CP3 in his hands when Sam said it was a VP-44. Can't believe they didn't catch that.

Cool show if you put the TV on MUTE. My GF was why are you getting mad? The cutaways were the best part.

I do not see how Sam could work for Cummins and make so many dumb remarks.

I would have preferred to see HOHN host that episode.

I recorded it and just watched it last night. It sucked! The one guy seemed so excited about the EGR system. What a "Tool"! These guys obviously knew nothing about diesels at all and were totally unbelievable as they tried to discuss, as if they were experts, the inner workings of the CTD.

I agree that the only good thing was the cutaway engine....
