Well, I have nothing heavy left to tow, I'm old and need to pare down my vehicles to something my wife can manage when I'm gone, so I sold my 96 2500 and I'm selling my 08 Canyon. To replace them both, I found a 12 Canyon quad cab 4wd V8 that will suit our needs fine pulling my boats and Ivy's horse trailer. I'll miss the bottom end torque but I have hp to spare.
I still have two diesl mowers a diesel tractor, and a Sprinter based diesel motorhome, so I won't run out of smoke!

Sorry to see you are letting a nice 2nd gen go, but I'm glad you still have enough toys left to keep you busy. Hope the new truck works good for you.

Did you look at the RAM 1500 diesel? 28 mpgs sounds mighty tempting.

Chebby should also be coming out with a 4-banger diesel in the Canyon later this year (if you're after something slightly easier to park)
