I was very impressed

I had True Green come out and fertilize my lawn, and we got to talking and diesels came up hearing his power stroke out there idling.Well he told me he had 377,000 miles on it,I said wow,he showed me the odometer and it said 377,414,and it ran great. He said all that has been replaced was the water pump and radiator. And this is out of a 444 IH.So I know I can @ least double that on my Cummins ;D

Re:I was very impressed

Would it really double or just pass it up by a little?? Really all depends on how you treat it right?

I have seen PSD's with 500,000 miles on them, but I think I will still keep my Cummins. ;D

I've seen CTDs with over 600k. I'm hoping to get at least 500k on mine.

I don't know,I met a fella@ the dealer with an 01 Cummins with the #3 bearing spun on it,he only has 69000 on it,has me worried,I am so broke and out of warranty for that to happen to me I would be devistated
But it could happen to any engine even the PS I guess.

I really do not like the IDI but as long as the injection pump is replaced every now and then I know of several near 300,000. They do like head gaskets though.

Dunno had 3 and never put an injection pump on any of them. Not a powerhouse but always ran good. Some were up to 274k when I sold them. FWIW
