I think I seen a 6.0 on its way out

On my way to the besch last friday I seen a F-350 pulling an empty dump trailer on a slight decline. It was smoking like a freight train and going absolutely nowhere maybe he was trying to get to the dealer. I thought about hooking my escape up to help him out but I got to remember that its a Ford too.

May have lost a boot on the intercooler. My 6.0 did that and white smoke poured out the back.

I saw one on the way out last Friday on my way back from Idaho. It was one of the early models.

He passed me on the highway doing around 80 and there was quite a bit of smoke. I stopped a few miles down the road at a truck stop and he came pulling in. The motor was running but sounded really bad like maybe it was injector or rod knock. He pulled off to the side and parked it.

I said "having some problems?? He said "I don't know what is wrong with this piece of expletive".

My friend just got his back that blew the motor. He would of got it back quicker but they had a new updated longblock out so they had to order a 2nd motor. The first one went back. It had something updated to the headgasket area. I don't know for sure what.

I saw a ford that blew a headgasket this evening it was a 07 6.0 he had a 4 horse trailer loaded. I offered him a tow, I told him I am a member of the Powerstroke recovery team. He and said at least your not a member of the No Ford left behind. Anyways tow truck came and got him.

I can't find the post where I read it but one of the forums was talking about a Ford recall on longblocks because of a machining issue on the heads.
Of course his dealer probably told him otherwise.

That was exactly what was wrong with his. His heads did not have the final machine finish to them. They looked like crap. I saw it with my on two eyes when the left head was off. Dummies......

That is what my friends did. It was thick and gray until the leak was just too big. Then it turned to white steam.
