It started doing this about 2 weeks ago and its driving me absolutely crazy. When my fuel level gets to about 1/4 of a tank or lower and i go to start the truck, it cranks for a good 3-4 seconds but doesn't fire. It usually takes about 3 or 4 tries before it fires up. Doesn't matter if the truck is hot or cold and never does it when i have more than 1/4 tank of fuel. I am currently running the mods in my sig. The truck has also started throwing a p0148 code around the same time that this started. It's a high pressure common rail code. Not sure if it is just coincidence or what. Please help if you have had this problem or know what it is.

 

Alot of guys with that problem are doing the Liberty canister mod.

 

I am gonna be getting an air dog next week. Does anyone think that it might just be a leak and if so, the air dog kit should fix it right? I need your expertise guys

 

Don't know much about the newer ones but on 2nd gen truck low tank hard starting is usually caused by an air leak on top of the bell housing or the pickup tube inside the fuel tank module.

 

That's exactly what i was thinking. Anyone else have any idea what it could be
