I LIFTED THE TRUCK THIS MORNING & I NOTICED TWO KINKS OR WRINCKLES UNDER THE CAB,THERE IS A BULGE ON THE SIDE OF THE CHASSIS UNDER THE CAB ,THIS DAMAGE IS SERIOUS& HARD TO REPAIR, SO IAM THINKING ABOUT CALLING THE DEAL OFF & SELL IT IA A SALVAGE AUCTION.

I know someone e-mailed him and made a better offer after I made a deal and bought my tickets! jerk! He's had to of had it up on a lift just a few times wouldn't you think! Now I will loose at least $100 towards my plane tickets and $600 overall because I don't really have any other travels planned to use them. I just know someone offered him more! It just reaks it in this e-mail! jerk!

 

If he's right about the damage, then why on earth didn't they notice it in the first place?!

I would call them tomorrow and get the actual story, if it works out to this call your airline, speak with a manager, and politely, calmly explain the situation. Perhaps they will refund in the sense of goodwill. *Or* go ahead and do a statewide search for other trucks, fly down and look at them.

Sorry about this, really stinks that he's messing around - be sure to add to his feedback on ebay when this is all said and done!

 

I am convinced he had another offer. I hate to say it but my money is on it being someone that has seen it on this site. He had it on a lift yesterday to take the photos I asked for in the other thread Guess he didn't see it then The tickets were non-refundable! I either take a trip in the next year to use them or lose $600! Even if I take a trip I lose $100. I will make sure to let everyone that may have dealings with him about his bad way of making deals. A deal isn't a deal with this guy!

 

So I take it you tried the "NO, I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD CALL THE DEAL OFF" route already?

And as for the tickets... Err... Scalp them for $300, then you're up $200!

 

Where is he located, maybe somebody from this site can go take a quick look at it for you.

 

What is the opinion of the masses here? Did he get another offer or just I AM SERIOUS and he knows we are getting close to me flying out there and I am NOT SO DUMB as to not see the damage he described and decided at the last minute to JUST SEE IT! I don't buy the last part! They have had it up on a lift and been under it several times.... they put a bed on it Oh three months later.... how did that get there They even had it up there yesterday and didn't see it. Something isn't making sense. No answer on the phone tonight but I left a message. Let's say perhaps he said more damage than expected but do you still want it? Would you?

 

Rosenberg, TX. That isn't really the problem. It sounds like he changed his mind after #1 listing it on E-Bay and it not making reserve for over a week and #2 when I put up and even sent him my itinerary then a day later his story changed and they found un-describable damage This all after they had it on a lift yesterday to take pictures for me

 

If the truck listed as sold on ebay you can also initiate an investigation, and if he is found in the wrong they will ban him, which didn't use to mean much because they would just sign back up under a different name but now they block his ip address so he can't get back in.

 

This was off of E-Bay which kind of sucks. He has another truck listed now though so I made sure to contact all the bidders. I will do that on every listing from here on out if he doesn't make it right.

 

The members of this site have bent over backwards to help on every problem I have had, that even includes showing up at my truck when I was broke down 500 plus miles from home, never doubt that if somone is in that area they will get you an answer on this problem.

 

If someone could actually look at it you would know whether or not the guy is lying. Sounds to me like he got a higher offer also.

 

If someone could stop by there tomorrow and have a talk with them, look the REAL damage over and assess if it would be worth it and know that the deal is still real that would be great! Even if it has a kink or crease it wouldn't hurt things enough to scrap it all.... don't know.

 

Just for the hell of it I will e-mail him back and tell him to send me pictures. I doubt he will! I think $$$ talked here.

 

hey man...seriously i know you are mad and all cuz you are out $100 bucks at least...but either way there are plenty of good trucks out there. what if the guy was lying from the start and the truck did have damage...you would have had a wasted trip anyway...plus he may have gotten cold feet because he was lying from the start and his conscience got to him.

look at the bright side...you're out a $100 bucks instead of $14k when you get the truck and find out there was hidden damage to the truck making it a bad purchase...

keep looking, you will most def find a good truck out there. im in MD so if you wanna check out local trucks let me know...i get mine back tomorrow from the dealer and we can blow some smoke and go look at trucks.

take it easy bro and look at it as this guy potentially saved you $14K

 

Just give me $29,000 for mine and you will be happy for sure!!!

Did you actually win the auction or was this a side deal? Have you told him how much you spent on the tickets and asked him to give you a refund?
