Great New Tire Treatment
Great New Tire Treatment
I tried Meguires Tire Spray about 4 weeks ago... It's the best tire "stuff" I've used.
I keep hearing rumors that Armorall is not good to use? drys things out? Don't know but thought I'd try something new I heard on the radio.
Spray the Meguires on and wipe off any excess. Effortless! Leaves tires looking brand new with a mild, semi-gloss black finish.
Seems to hold up very well. Been 4 weeks so far and still looking great.
It's on sale at O'Reilys Auto Parts, in the Southwest.

I have tried many tire products over the years, and still have a couple of garage shelves full.
I was recommended 303 Aerospace Protectant for rubber/plastic/etc trim. It is one of the best products I have every used. I use it on everything in and on the truck that is not metal including tires. Works great, last better that other things I have tried.
Might try the Meguires Tire Spray if it is cheaper than 303.

Note: The Meguires says NOT to use on plastic??
I noticed this after I did one rear view mirror housing. Does not seen to melt it or in any way cause harm but.....who knows?
I did 4-315's and used maybe 1/3 of the can. Think it was $4.95 (on sale) but not positive.

I quit using tire sprays a few years ago because my tires turned into a big dirt/dust magnet . When I would wash these tires the tire shine would turn into a milky substance and pretty much kill all the soap I had in the bucket. I can't remember the name of the product that did this but nevertheless left a bad impression and haven't used the stuff since then.
Okay so this is what I have used for years. It is safe for Plastic, I use it on my ATV's as well, Rubber, Vinyl, and Leather. It is called Autoshine Pro Shine 9460. It is made by KO Manufacturing for professional detailers. I get it by the gallon and a gallon last me a loooong time. Last time I bought it it was $24 a gallon. (Price Armor-All by the gallon). Here is the link to the Manufacturer Clicky Here There are a few levels of shineyness (is that a real word?).

I use the meguires insane shine. That stuff stays shiny for forever! I drive abvout 1/4 mile down a dirt road everyday ( Our driveway) and it stays shiny for a long long time. The only downfall is that when you clean it off, there is a layer A THICK layer of grime but it washes right off with the power washer. The stuff stays shiny for at least 2 weeks on my nittos. I really like it. Have a can in my truck right now! PS putting it on plastic attracts dust horribly. It stays that way for a long long long time. You clean it off and it just gets the dust again. Oh well my .02.
