Just got home from south Bama, did not pay over $2.00 a gal. $1.99 down in South Bama was the highest,Lowest was $1.85 at home, but its a new station and their at price wars with the competition across the street.
I never did think about the war factor, mmmmmmmmm ok it hurts just a little less but it still hurts.MERRY CHRISTMAS TO THOSE WHO CELEBRATE IT,man this political correct BS is for the birds, lol :-)

I paid 1.859 for two tanks last night, when I passed the Flying J today it was down to 1.819. That is in Georgia, still 1.919 local here in Birmingham area. It'll probably drop a few cents in a day or so here too. Georgia has 7 cents less tax.

$2.17 at my two stations.

Was at $2.20 for a couple weeks.

I guess the price drop is on a slow roll westward, might see it before 2005.

Figure this one out!
Shell gas station down the street from work is $2.19
Make a (R), Shell station 5 blocks down the street is $2.29
Make a (R), go 1 Mile Shell station down the street is $2.39
Now here's the issue. All 3 Shell stations are owned by the same guy.

I still don't understand how it is that diesel is more expensive than gas.

I paid $1.95 when I filled up over the weekend. I think 87 octane is somewhere around $1.65 here.

I have been told it is a supply/demand thing... there was such a demand for reg. gas, that they werent producing as much deisel, therefore a "shortage" resulting in the higher price.
I can understand that, but still get a little ired, 'cause that means we are paying more for a market-created shortage of deisel.

Gas is 1.57 here and diesel is 2.03... Thinking about driving Sherri's mini van back and forth to work for a little bit... not what I want to do but money is money.

If bio-diesel was not such a mad scientist project (have small kids ya know) I would be doing the home brew thing.

Yeah but diesel isn't gonna get cheaper 'till the trucks start yelling, and they aren't paying for the fuel.

We see lot's of:
Fuel Surcharge .................................... $7.00 (Made that up, don't know exactly)

So we're in for a long one guys,
Chris
