Hey DFD536, you out near Greenwood Acres Campground?
I'm about 10-15 miles from there... I live just north of the scales at Grass Lake.

I have heard of that cg, but have not gone there to play yet.

JUST finished fueling up at my usual Hess station.

GOOD NEWS.
Their 45 Cetane Diesel is now 4 cents cheaper than last Friday.
Now $2.199 per gallon.

It's hard to imagine being happy to only be partially abused.

.78 cents a litre in southwestern Ontario.

Here's a thought.....there's probably more privately owned diesel pickups and cars on the road now than ever before. Also the trucking industry continues to grow.

Demand for diesel fuel is on the rise and the oil companies love it.

Ed, you need to drive down more often. It is 1.889 here now. I hope it continues to drop. Are you coming to the event in N.C.? Tim

Love to ....But.......I'm getting ready to start a Part-Time Job for the month of December with the Post Office that will entail 8 hours at work followed by 8 hours of "part-time".
All "Free" time is being spent getting everything else ready to be neglected for a month.
Just had the tenant in one house inform me that there is a pin-hole leak in one of the water pipes in the basement. That will be tomorrow night's project.

The schedule will be a killer, but will pay off a lot of bills.
Hope to catch the next one.

B safe
Ed

FUEL COSTS

Well I use about 1100 gallons a month and the last 3 months have really hurt my profits, went to Fort Pierce Fl last week,2.10 in Michigan,2.19 in Florida, but on the return trip up seen it for 2.04 at a couple of small stations there,1.97 in Goergia, which was the cheapest,I heard a driver paid 1.86 in Matthews Mo,but crude went up 2 bucks a barrel on Friday,so looks like the Greed Machine is back in motion.3rd quarter reports show the 4 big oil companies combined sales/profit statement,18.9 BILLION,yes Billions for a quarter,Chevron/Texaco largest quarter in history, man how would you like to be a CEO for one of them, one hell of a Christmas Bonus.

raped hard...

last night I was about finished with my trip to Annapolis MD for the weekend and I needed to get a splash of fuel to shut that fuel warning light off. I was under a quarter tank and after toolin up the turnpike and parkway I got off onto 280, first thing ya do there is come to a nice 6%+ grade and thats when the light came on. Got off at my exit and pulled into the Exxon station accross from Pal's cabin... Told the guy to just put 20 bux in after I saw the price........ $2.45 a gal man that sukt, after passing a few of the rest areas on the turnpike with fuel for 2.09......... think I got about 8 gallons for my 20 bux. still mad 24 hours later.... should report them to the BBB and see if they can be charged w being thieves,,,,,,,

I avoid that scenario by carrying my Poor Man's Aux Fuel Tank when on a trip.
Two 5 gallon fuel containers filled, when I fuel up the truck, with reasonable priced fuel.

I can't believe that I'm happy about this but diesel was down to $1.699 in Okmulgee this evening and regular unleaded was down to $1.609. Still too high but better than it was and my neighbor who drives a fuel tanker truck said to expect a continued drop. Still waiting for it to get back under $1.259. Hey, a guy can dream can't he?

I read the other day in the news that crude is at a 11week low, under $45/ barrel.

I just paid $2.099 for diesel a couple days ago but didn't top off since I'm waiting for the price to drop as just mentioned.
