Getting raped by the pumps

I think that the demand of fuel oil in the East during winter would increase prices as the supply remains current? Probably just an escuse for the oil companies to inflate prices, but it's right on theoretically...

Don't be complaining. Diesel here works out to $2.66 US per US gallon. Alot of your fuel comes from here. It just show how bad we are taxed. Also diesel here is cheaper than regular gasoline.

My experience going into BC was different each time. Depended on the mood of the guy running the scales but it always meant more money.
Its 76.9 x 3.8 to get a US gallon divided by 1.29 says $2.27 a liter out here. Beginning of Sept I could get it for 59.9.
What are you paying a liter out there?

My wife works for a large trucking company and does all there billing. They have adopted a fuel surcharge to help pay for fuel. It is up to 17 cents per mile rite now. That is a lot of the reason they are not complaining as much. They just said to heck with it and passed the cost on to the customer.

Thinking of past excuses. I can remember them saying the following.
2 small fires in refineries. oops price goes up
brownout in the northeast and Canada. price goes up
Trouble in Iraq. price goes up
Trouble in Venazawala (spelling). price goes up
Hurricanes i Florida. price goes up
Winter coming on and short supplies. price goes up
Just can't imagine what the next excuse will be.

Holding at $2.39 for the last couple of weeks at the two stations I frequent.
Driving home from work last night, I noticed one of them had plastic bags over all the Diesel nozzles.
Don't know if they ran out, or if it got all gelled up due to the early snow and sub freezing temps we had the last couple of days.
Drove by on my way to work this morning, and the bags had been removed.
Guess I'll have to ask next time I fill up.

The next excuse will be that the transport companies tried to levy a fuel surcharge on the oil companies for delivering the fuel and the oil companies refused to pay it.
