Ford dump truck
I am not on any ford forums and I have an old 1990 ford f700 diesel. I need some good advice on a good ford forum or help figuring out my problem. The gauges don't work and the headlights don't work. I'm thinking this is a grounding problem and have redone two of them. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi Sam, try powerstrokehub.com. I got some useful info from it for our 97 Ford flatbed. It had a section for the pre-powerstroke IH diesel engines and may be helpful in tracking down your problem.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I've seen a few times where after engine work the ground from the engine to the body gets left off so the body has to ground anyway it can and usually causes gauge problems as they work on a reduced voltage as it is. Failing this just add a new ground wire from the battery to the body but make sure it's a decent gauge wire.
