I was in the dodge house getting parts today and was chatting with the guy at the counter. We talked about how good the 12valves were, which is all true. Then said the only 24valvers that were at all decent were the 98-99???? And then...heres the best part.....he told me the 6.7 was the biggest piece of junk ever made, and that Dodge was considering discontinuing the whole engine by 2009 . Gotta love it when people 'know' what they are talking about.

 

I have a friend who bought a new dodge/cummins a couple of months ago. It's a nice truck, great ride, but lousy mileage (14-15) and it has already been back twice to get the computer reflashed. He's not too stoked about it. It is smooth and quiet though...

 

I understand they have problems dont get me wrong, but it aint gonna get discontinued over taht.

This was at Mike Browns in Granbury....Stephenville dodge guys are pretty good, but this is the closest to my ranch where Im doing all the work.
