In today's manufacturing industrial newsletter is that Fiat is breakup up Dodge into two groups. The truck group (consumer and commercial) and the auto group. No mention of Chrysler as in a brand though.

Lets hope Dodge stays around. At least Cummins is not going anywhere.

That is an editorial- one man's opinion & I don't buy it. For better or for worse, Washington declared Chrysler "too big to fail" and invested heavily in it. That investment will not go down the tubes anytime soon. If there is one thing Washington is good at, it's throwing good money after bad.

I like what somebody said on another forum, it went something like "if Chrysler and Mormons didn't get any negative press, they wouldn't get any press at all". For some reason, Chrysler has been the Rodney Dangerfield of car companies. As far as the media is concerned- it don't get no respect.
