Difference between QSB & ISB?

The 5.9 that is put in the 3rd generation trucks is a QSB5.9 - right?

What is the differance between the QSB & ISB? Was the ISB the engine that the 2nd gen. trucks got?

Nope, it's an ISBe...ISB Echo

2nd Gen 24v's are ISB's

QSB is "Quantum System" B Series ..... From what I've seen, mostly used in AG, and industrial equipment!

ISB is "Interact System" B Series .... Mostly On-road apllications!

the Q series is used in marine applications from what I know.
