Talking

Diesel Power is pretty good but still lacking, just not as much as the others. If I have to see pages wasted with yet another stupid intake install I'm going to write a letter to the publisher and/or cancel my subscription. I also would like to see more trucks that are worked by people who love to work their trucks, not just trucks owned by spoiled rich kids who don't even know what trucks were made for. One of my favorites was the D-Max Silverado that was converted to tandem axle by a farmer whos tows the edit out of it. That was cool. I'd like to do that to mine.

Exactly... The last issue in one of them it was showing you how to install an EGT probe...

I was actually thinking about subscribing to one but I'm not going to now. They're kinda boring to look at with all the same ads over and over.

Well, not to defend the mag but how many posts are "newbie, how do I install the egt probe" on this site? Maybe they had readers...newbs with write in letters or something. Still good info even though us seasoned vets find it trivial.

I look at the ad's?? I bought diesel power cause it's at the parts house, 8-lug looked like some of the ricer mags with trucks on the front instead of hondas and such.

I spend way more time here than buried in any mag.....DTR is my #1 choice!!

(hey lary, ok I said it now when you sending that free stuff we talked about?)

I agree, this is the best place to get info. I was just thinking that there may be some other mag I was missing. Maybe we should start our own

Diesel Power.

I have a 2 year subscription and i've been happy with it so far. They do show alot of "easy" mods/write-up's but then again not everyone who owns a diesel truck lurks here all day and has the know how to do a "easy" install. They do have some indepth articles, I also like to browse through and see trucks that I have seen in person, for instance. This months issue has the article about the diesel shootout and they featured Andy Thomas's truck, a local here in MN.

I also like to see the new ads featured, makes me drool over the stuff I wish I had.
