Dealer Video

.

Vid #1:THIS TRUCK IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD AND ONLY HAS 26000 MILES ON IT. THE OWNER DOESNT UNDERSTAND WHY HE HAS NO WARRANTY.

Vid#2: This truck only has 36K on it. It was brought in for the drivers side mirror inop, check engine lamp on, and running bad. Maybe the mud caked in the mirror and the airfilter is the cause?

Vid#3: DIRTY AIR FILTER + DIRTY FUEL FILTER + PROGRAMMER = BOOM

I question the 3rd video, dirty air filter come on

So...what did they do to blow it out the side of the block? Was it a stupid kid playing with his dads toy? Or a stupid person not watching gauges?

Well I certainly hope Dodge covered those under warranty or I'd raise a stink.

It amazes me how some people can neglect there vehicles. It seems that all some people do is put fuel in a vehicle and drive the crap out it with no regard to any sort of maintenance. Mind boggling.

I was always taught to take care of whatever I had, especially a vehicle.

The first two are pretty self explanatory, the third one is questionable at best, job description of the owner is warranted on this one. Seems to me the dealer is far reaching to void warranty on the third video.

Agreed, the first two are no brainers. The third on however is not abuse I would think. The air filter was not bad at all, that was a joke, the fuel filter expelling black stuff via air hose was not (asphaltine that is normal), the debris in the bottom of the canister is normal. See it all the time when I change my fuel filter and that in itself will not cause a rod to come out the side of the block. Someone is just YouTube happy on #3. I saw no programmer on the truck either in the video. I believe #3 could be took to court and won pretty easy. The other two are done.

#3. So by taping the air filter on the bench they got dirt out of the bottom of it where it belongs and I did not see any dirt coming out of the top where it goes to the turbo. As for the fuel filter it had some junk in the housing, at least its not in the fuel system as the filter stopped it from getting there. I was not impressed seeing them blow stuff out of the fuel filter and into a dirty oil pan. I sure am glad I don't have them for a dealer as I think they are looking for any reason to have the owner pay the bill and not Dodge. BTW, did I hear them say the rear end was toast/bad based on the color of the diff cover?

The owners of the first 2 trucks have entirely too much money. The 3rd vid, I feel bad for that guy because the dealership is hosing him.

One thing I noticed, and maybe I'm wrong, but based on what I've bought, the air filters are missing the primary filtering membrane. That won't change anything where abuse and neglect are concerned but in the third video, the missing membrane, dare I say "altered" air filter could be used against the owner.

I know the membrane that you are speaking of but I have never seen one for a diesel engine filter.

I tell you what, I have done warranty for over two years and never once have I told a customer that something is not covered due to how he treats the truck. If oil changes and all that have not been performed then by al means, adress the issue with him. If he wants to spend that kind of money on a ride and beat the crap out of it, hey, its his money!!!!!

This is what you call a work truck. They usually get the crap run out of them and are full of mud. I have seen New chevy,Ford,Dodge trucks last 2 years before tranny and engine problums and they get sold to a salvage yard and replaced with new ones again.
What other vehicle can a guy use when fields can be spread out 20 miles in all directions? ATV wont work or a tractor and you need a box for tools. Some of you guys shouldn't be so judgemental
