Suppose to be Light duty diesel for cars and light trucks, but won't say who the auto manufacture is

i wonder if dc took the option the little v6 and v8 cummins engines that were being tested in a 1500 dodge ram [from a tdr mag last year]. v6 could fit the dakota chassis, and the v8 for the durrango/ram1500.. [4.2L and 5.6L iirc...]
Toyota? If it was Dodge they would announce it as such. They said they wouldn't announce it because for "competitive reasons, Cummins' original equipment manufacturer partner in the venture has asked to remain confidential."
I have a close friend that is sponsored by Dodge, he doesnt know specifics but he is lead to beleive the durango is going to come out with a deisel, I can not give names due to privacy and not really any permission to give this info but I dont think he will mind, if I dont give his name.

This is one of the articles I read that made me think Toyota. Sources keep saying that a turbo diesel version is next.

They all have diesel engines available. Dodge will most likely use Mercedes engines in the future as these are available right now and it would keep costs down. Nissan and Toyota could produce V8 versions of their European I4 diesel engines. My guess is that Toyota got that deal as they are getting into the full size market at the moment with their new Tundra. Cummins would have a huge marketing benefit for them. Sales would be lower if they would use an in house production diesel engine. Talk about profit. Maybe they´ll own Cummins next
