cummins in a ford

i have a 00 f 350 i looked at the ford cummins site kinda blan as far as info goes can any one speak from exp? i have a reapir shop i can do the work but is there any firewall mods or fuel system req that i need to be aware of and the transplant is a 99 24 valve with wiring thanks for any help

Most opt for the 12 valve as it has a mechanical injection pump.
Less wiring + less electronics = easier transplant.

Hooking up a 3rd gen isn't that much harder than a 12V, as a matter of fact they are pretty similar.

what about a DT360 into a ford its basically the same engine as the 5.9 cummins but a 5.9 international

A DT360 isn't anything like a Cummins and it will be much harder to fit. A DT360 weighs about 1300 pounds. DT466 with a slightly smaller block. It won't make anywhere near the power a Cummins will.

Not gonna swear I'm right on this, as I have been wrong before. Just ask my wife.

I'm pretty sure that to meet emissions, an engine must be the same year as the chassis or newer to be legal for emissions.

And I would never drive a truck that didn't meet the emissions standards

Yeah, about 2 inches shorter.
