Cool Cummins Engine Data Display

Awhile back I did a job on a 53ft Carver yacht with twin Cummins 855 MTA engines. The owner wanted the Engine data displays replaced. Well I ended up with a brand new in box one. P/N 4003639. It has a standard SAE J1708 data link.. My question is is I could use this on my truck? It is a slick piece of equipment. I can scan the book in tomorrow if it will help. I know it was originally for a marine application, but it has a standard plug. I was thinking I should be able to at least use it for some functions, just not sea water temp through engine and stuff that it reads from the marine side. It seems that it is comparible to the Cummins Road Relay sold for our trucks. Any help would be appreciated/

Thanks

Stephen

give it a try, it will either work or it wont, can't see how it can do any harm.
