Crazy diesel conversion question
Most of you reading my question will think that I have gone start raving mad. Too late, I already went mad years ago.

The following is NOT something I intend to do,(yet), but am curious. For my common rail Cummins, would it be possible to remove the CP3 and install an older model pump that would run totally without electrics or electronics? To do this, could I use the existing case that the CP3 mounts on, or would I have to change some gears and the case?
It it were possible, which would be the best pump?
Naturally the injectors would have to be changed too, so which injectors? Would it be possible to just drop in injectors, or would I also have to change the head?
