go to the trouble of taking it all out I think I'd just replace it. but then I'm not cleaning up after roofers either

I have done quite a few interiors on trucks and even the dirtiest always looked good.

I take the carpet out of the truck and lay it flat on the ground then after I get it wet I spray on Simple Green full strength and go at it with a stiff hand scrub brush scrubbing every inch of it, then I hang it across a saw horse and hose all of the soap and dirt out of it then I leave it out to dry.

I use my big Rigid wet dry vac to try and suck out as much water as possible.
I takes a few days to dry in the sunshine.

I worked on a fleet of Chevy Luv's driven by slob roofers, they got tar everywhere, I would gut out the interior of the truck, remove the tar using diesel fuel then clean it out using Simple Green, within a week they were filthy again, sometimes I had to clean them out with the Hotsy first.

Some people are always going to be pigs.

I never let mine get dirty, every time I get out of my truck I brush out the carpet with a brush I keep beside the door.

I have been told I have OCD

Simple Green, 409, or Fantastik .... make sure there isn't any bleaching agents in the last two.

One of the above and a stiff bristle hand brush (the old scuzz brush for the Marine types on here) or a detailing brush.

Rinse with water and blot dry.

If my carpet ever needed to be replaced, I think I would opt for the rubber floor. Maybe they do not make it anymore?

A friend of mine said he would mix Tide laundry detergent and a little water until it was a thick paste. He would then use a stiff brush and scrub specific areas. He said it worked on any stain he's ever had. I don't recall if he let it dry and vacuumed it out or use a carpet cleaner afterwards. I have not tried this technique yet. But I have pulled the carpet out a two of my vehicles and cleaned them that way. It wasn't too big of a deal. You also might consider calling a carpet cleaning place and asking them.

Did the Rhino last? My brother did that, and it started peeling off right away, and his truck is WAY louder now (road noise and such).

ya, for a couple years anyways then he wrecked the truck.

it wasn't loud that I noticed, but it was a gasser too.

I think prep would be key, that and he layed it down thick

he drank a lot, and spilled beer a lot. his carpeting didn't last long.
