Cleaning interior of your truck?

Not sure if this is the right section but I am looking for suggestions on how to clean the interior carpet in my truck?
I have a few small grease/oil stains.
One small RED slurpee stain.
And a thick mud stain beside/under the gas pedal.

I have tried car carpet cleaner, water, baking soda, vinger.

If anybody else has a sure fire ways to get these out I would love to hear them.

Also any truck care/cleaning tips or ideas would be great too.

Thanks

I use a green machine from bissel on tough stains. the one with the heat works well. I also keep a hand broom in the door pocket and sweep it out every time I get out. The bottom section of the console is where I store soft paper towels, Windex, and Armour-All. I like to try to keep my vehicles at least 10 years. More if I can.

The grease and oil stains can usually be cleaned with a contact cleaner (electrical parts or brake cleaner) just make sure to test it first to see if it affects the color of the carpet.

I use the hand attachment on my house carpet shampooer with a good carpet cleaning solution for the rest of things.

Rent a Rug-Doctor. The home steamers (I have a bissell) don't have enough suction. Then get some OxyClean for the stains and hit it! I would test the carpet for Oxyclean not to bleach out.

I open both doors on a windy day and use a gas powered leaf blower.

Same here, learned from past stains and work to clean. They are worth the money.

I have had fantastic luck with Gojo hand wipes to remove the grease stains I have put on my headliner,( from greasy ball cap) and floor mats. Gets all the grease out without staining anything.

What color is or was the carpet?
I have done quite a few interiors on trucks and even the dirtiest always looked good.

I take the carpet out of the truck and lay it flat on the ground then after I get it wet I spray on Simple Green full strength and go at it with a stiff hand scrub brush scrubbing every inch of it, then I hang it across a saw horse and hose all of the soap and dirt out of it then I leave it out to dry.

I use my big Rigid wet dry vac to try and suck out as much water as possible.
I takes a few days to dry in the sunshine.

I worked on a fleet of Chevy Luv's driven by slob roofers, they got tar everywhere, I would gut out the interior of the truck, remove the tar using diesel fuel then clean it out using Simple Green, within a week they were filthy again, sometimes I had to clean them out with the Hotsy first.

Some people are always going to be pigs.

I never let mine get dirty, every time I get out of my truck I brush out the carpet with a brush I keep beside the door.

I have been told I have OCD
Jim
