Cool Can You Run With The Big Dogs?

I know this has probably been done before but thought it would be cool to modify it a little bit...

Let's see who has put the most miles on a diesel engine without rebuilding it. Notice I say engine because the rest of the truck could fall apart around it and it can still be running fine.

Include trucks that you are currently the owner of or trucks that you have owned in the past.

I know that most on this forum have owned a Cummins but I'm sure some of you have owned other models as well, so let's include those too.

So to recap...Let's find out who has put the most miles on any model diesel engine without it being rebuilt.

Here's my entry (though I know I'm going to get smoked by a lot of you):

1999 Powerstroke - 193,710 miles...(I'm looking into buying a Cummins for my next diesel so don't let me down... ...post some big numbers!)

What are you counting as "rebuilding" Does new rod and main bearings count? Only because the thrust bearing fell into the bottom of the oil pan.

260,000 miles on one 93, bombed since I touched it at 207,000.
196,000 miles on the other 93, slightly tweaked.
221,000 miles on the 96 stock as they get.
No sign of slowing down.

ive got a aircraft ground power unit that i service out here with the cummins 6bta5.9 in it and it has about 20,000hrs on it.. all stock, only doing minor repairs here and there! this thing gets used every day for hours on end. so i figure if this engine was in a vehicle averaging 35mph that would be 700,000mi ... ok so its not a truck but its kinda cool.. i also have another ground power unit with a Deutz air cooled inline 6 diesel with i think around 15,000hrs on it and have never even had and kind of problem. as far as trucks go, my PSD had 80k on it when i got rid of it and my 06 CTD only has 3k.. :-)

My last PSD (99 F250) had 118,000 on it when I sold it, just saw the new owner the other week and it is now at 147,000. The one before that (97 F250) had 125,000 when I sold it, still see it running around every now and then but don't know the current mileage. My buddy has a 95 PSD F250, 282,000 miles, other then wear items all it's needed were glow plugs, injectors, and an alternator (the body is rusting away, spent half of it's life plowing snow in PA). My Cummins is at 104,000 now, mods started the day I got it at 89,000.

My old powerpukes started falling apart at @ 70K miles - that 's why I switched to Dodge in '98.

I still have that truck, 225K miles, but it's a V-10, and stronger than when it was new!

Forgot to say, the engine has never been opened. The water pump is original, injection pump and injectors are original, turbo's original, and here's the amazing part, the clutch and Getrag tranny are also original at 300k!
