California Bone Heads

Another move to total stupidity.

What’s at stake in Southern California’s new war on diesel truck pollution

Their goal? To lobby the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to require all new trucks to emit near-zero emissions by Jan. 1, 2024, a strategy that includes wiping out the diesel engine, the standard in long-haul trucking and replacing it with compressed natural gas truck engines.

What’s at stake in Southern California’s new war on diesel truck pollution

In other news,

State officials warn that Southern California could face as many as 14 days of scheduled blackouts this summer because of depleted reserves of natural gas caused by the massive leak in Aliso Canyon.

The canyon in the hills above Porter Ranch is a crucial gas storage facility, supplying 17 power plants in the Los Angeles Basin. But the four-month leak that began in October left the facility at one-fifth of its capacity and new injections of gas have been prohibited until all of its wells have passed comprehensive tests.

Officials estimate the storage facility won’t be back on line for months, leaving local power plants without a key source of natural gas.

So now all of our trucks need CNG to feed them, there is not enough to supply them.

When I saw the title " California boneheads" the first thing I envisioned was Mknittle Papecat, Jimbo486, and you having a bbq together.

Funny how that just came about...

Yet another reason I will never own a 98 and newer diesel truck.
I rather like my old 92 though.

Bring on the blackouts, I got 4 generators one of which will power 2-3 houses.

Oh yeah, and I'm voting!

As for a BBQ, sounds great to me. I grew up in San Diego, and am still here. Only problem they are trying to outlaw Charcoal Briquets in California aka Taxifornia. What I want to know is how did Gov. Moonbeam get elected again. I can understand California Bone heads!

Only good thing about California is seeing it in your rear view mirror.

Obviously, you're speaking about New Jersey...

We have the fat man at the helm, and he's really screwed with us over the last 2 years, which is pretty much the norm, here.
