Buying tires tomorrow, Opinions please!

I am going to pick up some new tires tomorrow night, just got 4 new 16x9 Moto Metal 951's, Am probably gonna get 305's, I do not want a 35" tire im coming from a set and I didnt like the size. I was going to get Dick Cepek F/C II tires, cause Ive heard good reviews on them, but am wondering about the Mickey Thompson MTZ's? I love the look of a mud tire, but dont want a lot of noise, and I would like a tire that wears good, which is why I am looking at the cepeks, any thought on the MTZ's? can get them for $10 more a tire than the F/C II's

BFG A/T provides a great ride and longevity if most of your driving is on-road.

my last 2 sets of tires were BFG all terrains, so I want to change I want to get either Dick Cepeks or the Mickey Thompsons, but wondering which of the 2 are better, I dont drive my truck a ton, so decent mileage out of the MTZ's will be ok.

I have been running a set of Nokian Vativa 265's for some time now, I'm sitting at a little over 50,000 miles on them right now with maybe 10,000 max left.

The tire shop I deal with only puts these tires on their service trucks because of how they wear and how long they last. I was skeptical at first but now I'm sold for sure.

This set was more an all season tire and they worked incredible in the snow but now that I'm looking to replace them, I'm leaning very heavily towards their mud tire.

It's got a nice mud tire look and apparently wears quite well as well as being fairly quiet on pavement. The tire shop has sold quite a few sets.

I'm not sure of yourself but a Load range "D" might be a problem. I don't usually tow heavy with my big tires, I swap for my 265's when I tow heavy.

Just my 2 cents to throw into the mix.

Dick Cepek F/C II tires dont buy them buddy had them on his truck and he got stuck so i pulled him out with my all seasons which had 40% of tread left. the F/C also makes nosie when driveing. buddy spent big money on those tires and he said never agin. if ur going offroading with them the prob is that they fill full of mud and hold it there they dont toss the mud out like they should.

I have Nitto TerraGrappler's 285/75R16 (nearly the same as 305/70R16, just narrower) I like the looks and traction, but they are a soft rubber and only have about 15,000 miles on them and they are half gone.

My last set of 285/70/17D BFG AT KOs lasted 58,000 miles with 65psi and 7,500 mile rotations. My new set of BFG AT KOs in 305/65/17E still look new after the first 8,000 miles. They are simply awesome in the snow and unstoppable when aired-down on the beach sand.
