Buy-back Fords

Ever wonder what happens to the buy-back vehicles?

I drove through my local Ford dealer's lot this pm and saw at least two (and this is in a town of 3,000) '03 6.0's labeled as 'reaquired vehicles'. 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty.

Plus, they weren't priced all that cheap, either.

I wonder how they're going to sell them. It more or less states on the window sticker that it was a 'lemon' but that it has been fixed. Fixed so well, in fact, that Ford will warranty it for a full 12 months or 12K.

All the autotraders papers around here is packed FULL of 2003 Fords for sale,it is double and triple the amount of other trucks, but most have remaining factory warranties,I like Fords but I would not touch one with a ten foot pole.

I read a article about that... Ford was buying back the truck because of a over-fueling problem on some of them. It was causing major ring damage. Oil dilution....

Out here it's a FIRD... Found In River Dead... And yes they do wind up out there!

Passed one coming into work this morning, in my Camry. Pretty blue crewcab, with an older flat bed and toolrack, off an earlier truck. We were going up a long easy grade and he must have decided to use me for radar bait. When I noticed he was trying to keep up with me, I was thinking he must have some mods cause of the haze. It was starting to get heavy and he was dropping back. He fell way back and I noticed his turn signal come on as he took the shoulder.
