Big Cummins

I am kind of new to diesels(I got interested about 4 years ago)
and I have learned allot about cummins engines. The problem is my knowledge only dips into the 8.3Ls. I would appreciate any info you could give me on the larger engines, and some of the engines from years past. What I'm looking for is info on engines like the L-10, Big Cams, ect...

Thanks for the help
4x4

The Big Cam series was one of the most popular line of engines produced for a Class 8 . It is a 855 NTC engine with engines ranging from a BC290 BC335 BC350 and BC400. The new replacement to the BC line is the 855 CI N14

The L10 was a lighter 10ltr engine. I personally dont like this engine, but many have had good luck in smaller trucks. The M11 took its place.

The 855 N/NH/NT/NTA based engines are the best selling engine to date. They are still around but under the N-14 and Celect names.

Above the 855 are the K series engine which are all 600HP plus. They run anywhere from an 1150ci inline 6 to a V-16. Capable of over 2000HP.
