Best Mileage Chip for 2007 Duramax

My boss recently bought an 07' Chevy 2500 4X4 crew cab short bed with the allison and a d-max, he has put over 20k on it and is only getting about 10-12mpg. I told him to buy a 12v cummins like mine, but he wont do that because hes already spent an arm and a leg on this truck and is kinda stuck with it for a while. He wants to put a chip in it now to see if that will help his mileage, he isnt looking for a lot of power because he doesnt pull much with it, he justs wants the best mpg's he can possibly get. I was just wondering if you guys had any info on these. Thanks

Any idea what kind of mileage he gets? Why wouldnt you run a hypertech?
I work for this guy so I want him to be happy with it and dont want him to get one that doesnt help his mileage that much, He's looking to me cause I have a turned up cummins and previously had a ford with an edge, ball bearing turbo, south bend, all the goodies you know what I mean, he looks to me because I've had some experience with some chips, only problem is I never messed with a d-max before so its new to me. I liked my edge in my ford for the power but it didnt help my mileage. He's an older fella and he drives it pretty easy so if anybody can get good mpg's its him and this d-max is ticking him off, also his wife will only let him spend around $500 and the edge I saw is higher, not looking for a performance machine here just a daily driver. Thanks

hes telling me he gets around 23-24 on the highway hand calculated. not sure if hes blowing smoke up my rear or what. but he is very happy with it.

im not sure why i dont like hypertech. just havent really heard anything good about them. seems they are more at home with gasser perf.

you never stated if its the new body style 2007 or old body style. big difference...

we're all on winter fuel now so everyone's mileage is going to be bad. Tell him to park it until spring if he wants good mpg!

He told me today that he called his friend last night who owns the local carquest and ordered the same one that his friend has on his 06' d-max, its some kind of hypertech, not sure what it is though. well have to see how it does, it comes in tommorow morning and he will be driving a few hundred miles tommorow afternoon so we'll get a chance to test it. Thanks guys

My brother as an 07 GMC with the Duramax and he has the diablosport predator on his. His truck is the classic body style . He gets 18-21 MPG. That is everyday driving, a little here and there and occaisionally long trips. That is pretty good IMO with a 2500 4X4.
