6.4L Maintenance Video from Ford
I was never able to get the Ford Diesel video to actually start and run
, but do they say anything about requiring the use of any special, low-ash diesel lube oil for the engine??? (This would be to save the precious aftertreatment systems from early pluggage
)
(Something akin to the expensive VW specification oils that can only be obtained from the VW dealer?)

its so complicated its funny.
I'll have to view it from home, as the SaltMine's network chokes or blocks some video attributes. I could get it to boot and tell me I should watch the whole video but that's as far as I could get it to "move"
.

You already know everything that they are going to say in the video- - - -dont waste your time Let someone that has already wasted there's tell you what it is all about! MAINTENANCE- - - - -it is one of the most boring video's that I have ever seen. I did notice that at the VERY END when the Truck is pulling away from the lake scene that the driver gives it a little throttle and kicks up some dirt!! FORD is sending false information with that shot! The Tail Pipe deal with the dual exhaust tips and all the holes in it is BS- - - -that is just something that Ford is going to use against there buyers for Warranty (VOID) claims.

It's VERY cold here today, so it took 3 tries to get the F**D video started (but I had to use a shot of ether
); it idled fine for a few minutes, but ran so slowly I had to shut it down... do you guys think I should take it to the dealer? I used a wireless network, so I'm afraid my warranty might be shot!
p.s. I liked the tailgate step, but I fabricated 2 fold-down SS & 6061 steps for the tailgate of my '98 Ram, and didn't have to pay $50K for them.

Sorry, but I sure don't like the way diesel engines are going... Regardless of brands! What ever happened to the KISS principle???
Diesels are being so tightly wrapped in complex emissions technology that they are becoming unmaintainable, unaffordable, and unworkable!
